Keeping this in mind, iENGINEERING successfully implemented the integration of biometric hardware for the Ghana Prison Management System (GPMS). Recognized as most effective for individual identification, GPMS is enabled with a fingerprint scanning function that allows law enforcement authorities to register biometric data for each prisoner. This will optimize access control for individual prisoner data with a given fingerprint sample, which in turn will mitigate time lags, and ensure data authentication, discretion, veracity, and non-repudiation.
